Architects from AZC had to work around the constraint of leaving the existing street façade untouched while expanding the living area into the backyard and opening up the house to create a bright and cheerful ambiance.
Cantilevered 12 feet back from the edge of the bluff the outdoor sitting areas and the patio give you the impression of hanging precariously above the Pacific Ocean. The main living area is housed at the front of the home with a smart kitchen and dining space becoming a part of the open floor plan.

The newly built structure replaced an existing ranch-style house that was originally built in 1948. Parts of the previous home such as a single-story bedroom were kept intact and renovated to blend in with the new facade.
