Architects from AZC had to work around the constraint of leaving the existing street façade untouched while expanding the living area into the backyard and opening up the house to create a bright and cheerful ambiance.
Even though it is hard to look beyond the view outside the real showstopper here is the silhouette of the structure that draws its inspiration from the banana slug which is a native of the region! The thin and elongated volume of the house bends and conforms to the undulated natural contours of the site.
Though the house predominantly uses white and silvery grey pops of yellow green and blue add instant brightness and elevate the ambiance.
